L&M Companion(d. 1670). Lawyer, of Brampton; uncle of John Jackson, sen; Under-sheriff of Huntingdonshire 1642. He arranged a purchase of land for Sandwich in 1654, and acted for Pepys in several law businesses in the '60s. His wife Judith was buried at Brampton in Dec. 1665.
Lewis Phillips of Brampton. He was uncle to John Jackson, who married Samuel Pepys's sister Paulina.---Wheatley, 1899.
