Gilbert Thornborough. Yeoman of the wine-cellar to the King. His house (taxed on five hearths) was in Axe Yard, next door but one to the Hunts. There was also a family of thiss name in St Olave's parish....
Wheatley in this diary annotations says that the "three sisters the Thornbury’s" mentioned on Sunday 6 October 1661 http://www.pepysdiary.com/diary/1661/10/06/ are the sisters of this gentleman.
