Mr Becke
Pepys's 'cousin'. There were several Beckes connected with th Norfolk branch of the Pepys family, but yjis was probably one of two sons (John and George) of George Becke of Lolworth, Cambs. He had married in 1617 a first cousin of Pepys's father, Eleanor Pepys of Cottenham. A William Beck was uncle by marriage of Talbot Pepys. (L&M Companion)
