The son born to the Duke of York and his wife in 1663 did not live until 1715 t be the Old Pretender. That son was the one born in 1687/8 to Mary of Modena and part of the reason the Glorious Revolution occurred when it did, the Catholic monarch now had a legitimate Catholic heir. Come on over William and Mary.
