Long after the fact, like Gerry Healy https://www.pepysdiary.com/diary/… I too was in a remove form. It indicated that you were to take O levels in four years rather than five, further streaming within a grammar school.

Somewhat surprised to find no mention among all the cakes, decorations &c of the ancient practice of wassailing, usually carried out on 12th night. In apple-growing areas of England and Wales I believe the tradition is being revived, blessing the orchards to ensure a bountiful crop.
