Dr. Christopher Merrett.
He was a Member of the Royal Society. He translated "The Art of Glass" by Neri, a practical treatise on how to make glass, from Italian to English. It referred to improvements in glass industry over the last two years, and presented it to the Society in 1662.
19th October 1664 he brought his catalogue of trades...for several fellows to look at and chose what trade would give or procure the history of.
