from L&M Companion(d.1669). Clerk of the Cheque at Deptford 1660-5 and brother of Abraham the poet. At his death he left bequests to Moses and Aaron, sons of Thomas Turner of the Navy Office....The name was pronounced and often spelt 'Cooley'.
