A (very) distant relative...
Interesting to know that the Salviati family was very distantly related to King Charles's mother.

Maybe, but it doesn't seem worth too much emphasis
With the royalty of Europe constantly looking for 'fit matches' for their children among the nobility of other countries, most of the great families probably were related if you look far enough back.
