(1632 - 1712) third eldest son of James Houblon Sr. ( http://www.pepysdiary.com/p/8398.php ); kt., 1689, was Lord Mayor 1695-6, and the first Governor of the Bank of England (1674-7). He was an Admiralty Commissioner 1694-9.
