    First 2 words of title in Greek characters. Imprint is engraved. Frontis. portrait (A1v) of the author signed: P. Lombart. sculpsit. A collection of nine discourses, each, except for discourses 7 and 9, has separate dated title page; discourse 1 with imprint “printed by R. Norton, for R. Royston”, discourses 6 and 8 with imprint “printed by R.N. for R. Royston”.Wing (CD-Rom, 1996), T398

    The Pepys Library contains (PL 1657):-
    Symbolon theologikon: or A collection of polemicall discourses, wherein the Church of England, in its worst as well as more flourishing condition, is defended in many material points, against the attempts of the papists on one hand, and the fanaticks on the other. Together with some additional pieces addressed to the promotion of practical religion and daily devotion. By Jer. Taylor, Chaplain in Ordinary to King Charles the First, and late Lord Bishop of Down and Connor. The third edition enlarged.

    First 2 words of title in Greek characters; title page in red and black; frontis. engravings signed: “P. Lombart. Sculpsit” and “A: Hertochs fecit” respectively. On the half title: ‘Collection of polemicall discourses, new and old.’ Each discourse with separate title page dated 1673 with imprint “printed for R. Royston”; pagination and register are continuous. “Chrisis teleiōtichē. A discourse of confirmation” has separate title page, with imprint “printed for R. Royston, … 1673”, pagination and register.
