  • WORSE AND WORSE.
A comedy by George Digby, Earl of Bristol. Acted at the Duke’s Theatre between 1662 and 1665. This play is mentioned by Downes, who says it was made out of the Spanish. It seems not to have been printed. ” I left the lottery, and went to a play,—only a piece of it, which was at the Duke’s house, Worse and Worse, just the same manner of play, and writ, I believe, by the same man as the Adventures of Five Hours,” Pepys’ Diary, July 20th, 1864.
