L&M Companion:
(d. 1664) of St Sepulchre's parish, freeman of the Blacksmiths' Company, was Pepys's uncle, having in 1633 married as his first wife Katherine Kite, sister of Pepys's mother. His will shows him living as a lodger in the Old Bailey. By his first wife (d 1661) he had two daughters, who married William and Anthony Joyce.
