By the time this map was hatched, the developers had improved the income to the coffers of the Lambeth houses of worship by having orchards. Reclamation was all the rage of the Real estate agents, i.e. the Land Lords that sat in the Lauds house.

Marsh be one of the “The districts of Lambeth Town, Water Lambeth, the Marsh and Wall, and Lambeth Deane were tithings of the manor of Lambeth, (fn. 3) and are often called liberties”
