  • Proprietor of the Coach and Horses Tavern, Aldgate: http://www.pepysdiary.com/p/6218.php

  • A good place to hire out horses, as it was near to the main road going north out of London. The Coach and Horses was probably on the south side of Fenchurch Street near the junction with Leadenhall Street, which would then be part of Aldgate.

    John Game appears in the accounts of St Katharine Cree church from 1651 onwards. He later became an innkeeper of the Pewter Pot tavern nearby in Leadenhall Street until 1676 and perhaps for longer.
