  • St. Bride’s burial register identified Henry Cumberland as a “Tayler in Salisbury Court.” Sam’s brother, Tom, took over their father’s tailoring business in the parish of St. Bride’s, off Fleet Street, in 1661, and no doubt was acquainted with the lusty, young Cumberland.
