    Warrington calls him: the Rev. Jeremiah Wells, curate of All Hallows, Barking, in 1676. Pepys afterwards procured him a naval chaplaincy

    Go with L & M on this one. Jeremiah Wells was born in 1646, and so only 16 at this point.
