Per L&M Companion:
kt. 1661. (1631-72). Rich Turkey merchant; of Coombe Nevil, Kingston, Surrey. A connection of Sandwich , his wife being Elizabeth Montague, daughter of the 2nd. Lord Montague of Boughton. His connection with Lady Castlemaine (who took herself off to his house at Covent Garden after a quarrel with the King) was presumably through his wife, who was reputedly mistress for a time of the Duke of York. He was made Ranger of Richmond Park in 1661, and ambassador to Constantinople in 1668. His uncle was the William Harvey who discovered the circulation of the blood.
