[Sir William Sanderson’s] wife Bridget (c. 1592-1682) was the daughter of Sir Edward Tyrell, Bt; she served at court as laundress to Henrietta-Maria and from 1669 as Mother of the Queen’s Maids of Honour. Her brother Sir Timothy Tyrrell (d. 1633) was Master of the Buckhounds; his son (also Sir Timothy) was one of the acquaintances Pepys pressed into service in defending himself against the accusation of treason in 1679.

[her husband Sir William Sanderson, an historian and distant relative of Sam.]
