    Probably of St Bride’s parish; but hardly likely to have been the Common Councilman William Wheatley of that parish since his daughter was proposed as a match for Tom Pepys. Tom’s accounts at his death record payment of a bill for L,214s. to ‘Mr Wheatley’.
