Hammond Claxton, of Booten, Norf.; possibly the Hammond Claxton who was admitted to Caius College, Cambridge, in 1637. He married Pepys’s cousin Paulina, daughter of Talbot Pepys of Impington, in Dec. 1647, she being then 24. She kept house at Impington for her brother Roger when he was a widower 1662-3.
