  • from L&M Companion
    (c. 1625-1704). Royal musician in ordinary; counter-tenor; viol, violin and lute player; singing-master and composer. Two of his songs are printed in “Musica Britannica” 39/items cxii, cxiii. The ‘Theodore’ Goodgroome who appears in previous editions seems to be a ghost.

[I love L&M Companion. Terse, but quick with the telling comment; and a great sense of humor.]
