Tavern on the south side of Cheapside, just east of the Royal Exchange. Like many city taverns it lay back from the street and was approached by a narrow passage. It was kept (1660) by Francis Ringstead, vintner. After the Fire, it moved further east, its old site becoming a court. Source L&M.
