L&M Companion: “Appointed Paymaster to the Navy Treasurer 1660, and possibly the ‘Wayte’ who was a royalist financial agent in Brussels in 1659. As paymaster he was much distrusted and, after investigation by the Brooke House Committee, was joined in the treasurership by the upright Richard Hutchinson. His office was in his official house in Deptford. In 1661, as a widower of 36, he married Elizabeth, daughter of Timothy Lowe of Greenwich. He was living in Camberwell at his death in 1685.”
Elizabeth Lowe’s father became Sir Timothy Lowe in 1603. His brother, Sir Thomas was Lord Mayor of London.
The daughter of Robert Waith and Elizabeth Lowe married John Fulham (Recorder of Chichester and Guildford), son of Edward Fulham DD who was Chaplain to both Charles 1 and 2. Edward Fulham’s son George Fulham DD married Katherine Evelyn, daughter of George Evelyn.
I have a portrait inherited from the Fulham family of Timothy Lowe. I wonder now whether one of the others ( a rather pompous looking gent of the right period!) might be of Robert Waith, does anyone know of any portrait of him in existence?

Elizabeth Lowe is very probably the granddaughter of Sir Timothy Lowe and great niece of Sir Thomas Lowe. However, the daughter of Robert Waith did marry John Fulham as in the information above.
