Col. Charles George Cocke. Civil lawyer; amember of the Hale commission for the reform of the law (1652), a judge of Admiralty and Probaate and of the High Court (app. 1653). Author of *England’s compleat law-judge and lawyer* (1656) which argued for the retention of the civil law in the administration of probate. He was Steward of the city of Norwich and an active committee man in Norfolk during the Interregnum. (L&M Companion) P’s father’s customer whom he had carried clothes to.
