Description
L&M say the woman referred to by Pepys on 16 August 1666 as getting married is “Mary, Princess of Orange (d. 1688)” and “William’s aunt”. But these details, and her groom, Count Palatine of Simmern, makes her Maria of Nassau (1642-1688).
