Audley End
This was the family seat of the Barons Braybrooke http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baron_Braybrooke , where Richard Griffin, 3rd Baron Braybrooke (1783-1858) edited the edition of The Diary of Samuel Pepys used on this site (see the bottom of p. 6). http://snipurl.com/da5yq

A beautiful country house, open to the public. I visited it on my honeymoon, and later came across an 18th century engraving of it that hangs on my office wall.
