Per L&M: Charles Anderson was a son of Edmund Anderson of Broughton, Lincs. He was at Magadalene 1653-1657 and for a while shared a room with Pepys. Like Pepys he was admonished for drunkenness (though not on the same occasion). He was a physician but never became a licentiate or fellow of the Royal College. Lord Belasyse gave him a testimonial in Jan. 1665 presumably with a view to his serving in Tangier.
