L&M:"Charles, eldest son of Sir Dudley; later (1677) 4th Baron North. A relative of Mountagu by marriage, he came of a very musical family"
Sir Dudley (1602-1677) was the 4th Baron North. His eldest son Charles (c.1636-1691) was created Baron Grey of Rolleston during his father's life, and succeeded his father as 5th Baron North.---Wikipedia, 2013
Charles' mother, Anne Montague (d.1680/81), and Edward Montague, "My Lord" were first cousins. They shared a pair of grandparents: Sir Edward Montagu, of Boughton (ca.1530-1602) http://www.pepysdiary.com/encyclopedia/8988/ was their grandfather and so was Charles' great-grandfather.
