Sir Edward Scott (d. c 1688). Soldier; a member of the family of Scotts of Scot's Hall. In 1668 captain in Col. John Russell's regimnt and granted a pension; in 1672 lieut-colonel in Buskingham's regiment of foot. In 1672 it was expected that he would be made Governor of Portsmouth by the Duke of York.
