Mr Rouse. Of Ashtead, Surrey; said to be the Queen's tailor. A 'Mr Rous' occupied a house there taxed on ten hearths in 1664. He is possibly the Lewis Roch, tailor to the Queen, who took out papers of denization in 1663 and still held the office in 1671-2.
