Summary

Leading down to the Thames from the bank just north of Whitehall Palace. Pepys describes them as being “in Chanel Row” so, judging by this map from 1746 it’s possible they’re the same stairs then known as Manchester Stairs. That’s what we’ve assumed for their map location here.
