Daily entries from the 17th century London diary
Maybolt
Hoy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoy_(boat) Dutch prize 1666; granted to Pepys October 1667; sold January 1668.
(L&M Index)
The Maybolt appears not to be a "hoy," a rather small vessel, but a "Galiot" (variable spelling), a two-masted, ketch rigged Dutch ship of considerable size with rounded bow and stern and lee boards.
